Welcome to my digital portfolio. This online space is a work in progress that is meant to represent my best work.

My photographic career manifested itself in sixth grade once I became enthralled with my friend's new camera and gathered my friends every weekend to have "photo shoots". Since that year, I have been shooting consistently for nearly eight years. I have no formal training in photography or cinema. Everything I know is a result of trial and error in addition to a melange of stylistic techniques from my various influences.

 

I grew up throughout Los Angeles, CA and am blessed to have been around creatives my entire life. The people in my life are renowned in areas of graffiti, writing, photography, athletics, acting, along with an array of other disciplines.

A main philosophy of mine when creating art is "Calculated vs. Candid" because I believe that candid images have a sort of intimacy and ingenuity that can not be recreated. Yet, in the vain of duality- even calculated moments are virtuous. Thusly, my creative attention and efforts ebb through the duality of these two concepts.

I am currently studying Marine Science and minoring in Cinematic Arts and Technology. I intend to become a marine cinematographer/photographer either interdependently or with a conservation magazine.

 

In grande theory, I would like to be a war-time photojournalist. Wars are in constant effect through-out the world and I would ideally like to involve the front of people's minds to the forgotten corners of the world.
